Update: The Illinois Department of Public Health has fully adopted the school guidance issued by the CDC today. CCSD21 continues to review this information.

Earlier today, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released its recommendations regarding the 2021-2022 school year. School District 21 is currently reviewing this information and continues to await any further direction from the Illinois State Board of Education and Illinois Department of Public Health. We will update our families as we continue to receive information.

As always, we strongly encourage CCSD21 families to vaccinate all eligible members of their household against COVID-19. The two-dose Pfizer vaccine is authorized for children ages 12 and older. Families who have fully vaccinated their student should consider submitting a copy of the child’s vaccination card:

  • Email a scanned copy or photo of the vaccine card to [email protected].
  • Visit any middle school during our card collection day on Wednesday, July 14:
    • Cooper: 8:30 – 10:30 AM
    • London: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    • Holmes: 1:30 – 3:30 PM
  • Visit any CCSD21 school on or after Monday, July 26, between 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Receiving a vaccine is safe, free, and protects against severe illness. Make your appointment today! If you or someone you know needs assistance scheduling a vaccine appointment, call the toll-free Illinois Department of Public Health hotline at 833-621-1284.
