IAR and MAP Score Reports delivered electronically

October 8, 2021

Topic: Student Learning

During the week of October 4, CCSD21 families received electronic mailings of their student’s score reports from the Spring 2021 IAR assessment and Fall 2021 MAP assessment. Reports were delivered through ParentSquare to the parent’s email address or cell phone number on file. Because the reports contain secure, personalized information, families need to verify their ParentSquare login (or activate their account if not already active) to validate they are eligible to access the report.

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is an annually-mandated assessment by the Illinois State Board of Education. Students in 3rd through 8th grades are assessed in English Language Arts and Math.

School District 21 utilizes the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment to provide information on student academic growth in Reading and Math. MAP is a unique computer assessment that adapts to a child’s level of understanding and mastery of skills. The difficulty level of each question is adjusted based on the student’s answers. Students in 2nd through 8th grades are assessed in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.
